Free Standing Building
Our school operates in a beautiful free-standing building that we have proudly owned since 2018. Our three-floor facility boasts all-new renovated windows and classrooms, providing a bright and modern learning environment for our students. Located in a reasonably quiet part of the city, our surroundings offer a tranquil atmosphere with plenty of greenery and nearby parks. The peaceful neighbourhood and abundant natural beauty make our school a welcoming and inspiring place for both learning and play.
Spacious Sunlit Classrooms
The space features seven sunlit, spacious classrooms designed to create an optimal learning environment for our students. Each classroom is equipped with a kitchenette, chalkboards/ whiteboards, student drawer space, a carpet area, student desks and chairs, walk-in closet, bookshelves, and a TV for educational purposes. The primary classrooms even have their own washroom for added convenience. Plenty of light and space to foster an engaging and productive atmosphere for students.
Multiple Washrooms
There are separate washrooms on each floor, providing convenience and accessibility for all students. Each floor is equipped with well-maintained facilities to accommodate the needs of every student. Our commitment to cleanliness and hygiene is reflected in the care and attention given to these essential spaces.
Floors dedicated HVAC + Air Filter + UV lights
The building is equipped with three furnace rooms, each featuring built-in air filters. These filters ensure that the air throughout our building is clean and healthy, contributing to a comfortable and safe environment for our students and staff.
School Library
Our school library is a special place, home to an extensive collection of classic books in both Russian and English. This versatile space serves multiple purposes beyond just reading. Some classes come here to enjoy their lunch, while others use it as a workspace. The library is also a hub for drama and music rehearsals and lessons and school clubs.
Newly Renovated Certified Kitchen
The recently renovated kitchen is fully equipped with a professional, fully disinfecting dishwasher, temperature-control professional refrigerators, and two new ovens and stovetops. Security Cameras
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Our building is equipped with both exterior and interior security cameras to ensure a secure environment for everyone at our school. These cameras are strategically placed to monitor all key areas, providing peace of mind for parents, students, and staff alike.
Safe and Spacious Staircase and Multiple Exits
The building is designed with safety and accessibility in mind, featuring two wide stairwells that lead to two emergency exits/entrances. These spacious staircases ensure smooth and efficient movement throughout the building, providing safe and easy access for all students and staff.
Mario Plastina Park
Students enjoy recess most days at the nearby community park, conveniently located just a two-minute walk away via a safe pedestrian crosswalk. The park features three large fields, two playgrounds, and plenty of shade and benches for rest. With an hour of outdoor time each day, weather permitting, students have ample opportunity to play, explore, and relax in this beautiful outdoor space.
Ground Maintenance & Renovated Parking
The parking lot was recently repaved, ensuring a smooth and well-maintained surface for all visitors. It’s designed to allow parents to get in and out quickly, making morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups convenient and efficient.
Playground Park
Roots Daycare children enjoy two hours of supervised outdoor play in our private playground. The spacious area allows for lots of running around, and for added safety, the floor is fully lined with rubber playground mats. This ensures a fun and safe environment for our youngest learners to explore and play outdoors.
Maple Community Centre Gymnasium
Students have Physical Education at the Maple Community Centre (MCC) Gymnasium located across the street, a 2 minute walk away. This spacious gym is fully equipped with basketball nets, volleyball nets, and all the features of a modern gymnasium. During the winter, students go skating at the indoor MCC arena.
